Attention: Secession War

ATTENTION:
2/19/13

The outcome of the Secession War in the 1860s did not fully address the polarizing issues of its time. While slavery was abolished; sharecropper induced serfdom, segregation / Jim Crow and lynch mobs would not be dealt with in a broad sense until after about a hundred years passage. For that immediate century following the war, a tilt towards industrial bloc interests and various factions competing over federal vs. state powers neglected or pushed back true equal treatment under the law. Towards modern times, general approaches have been concerned more about equality but they have also been questioned as a guise to bring about a socialist order.

Now today's polarization of the citizenry between red and blue has led to a government constantly giving in to compromise of values, grid-lock over solutions and a constant parade of brinkmanship follies of its own making. Major issues are at hand like debt, immigration, border security, education, tax reform, health care redux, war policy, energy - all of which cannot be properly dealt with under such constant paralysis and dysfunction. The imposed and manipulating two-party electoral system and its lack of comprehensive term limits have helped steer us to this point of crisis. Neither party in current macro-form is capable of providing true solutions nor of representing the best interests of the people. This rigged two-party system makes the current type and selection of poor politicians a perpetual occurrence.

While lacking the function of proper electoral and term reforms, we will govern ourselves into a chaotic breakdown. Our situation gets worse and worse and our government(s) insist on doing more of the wrong and less of the correct. Therefore, it is time to rely more on secession to bring about a sovereign solution to our problems as opposed to yet another false promise of reform through the two commandeered national political parties. The confinement and purge of the ideal traditionalist Tea Party elements within the GOP is one prime example of why. Another is the rise of the anarchist Occupy movement praised or glossed by the more blue and common media commentary circles despite its mob and criminal elements visible to all. The Democrat party instead needs a Camelot insurgency that would re-introduce a more optimist, prosperous and unifying JFK-oriented ideological platform. However, it appears that such members have either been driven out or have gone extinct with a now much more hard-left radical element to fill the void.

We do not need to go through another most important election in our lifetime just to again shuffle about the ratio of establishment Republicans to elitist Democrats -- both who are the cause of our problems...No! We need comprehensive term limits and multi-party electoral reforms NOW! Until that is a reality, we must plan on secession as recent clarion calls are now illustrating and especially since the federal government seeks to eventually disarm us through gun & magazine confiscation laws. Remember, secession need not be forever. See it also as taking America back-court or calling a time-out until full constitutional implementation is achieved.

While the attempts towards secession may not always bear fruit, repeated and serious proposals to do so will illustrate to the rest of the citizenry what is really at stake in our union on the issues we face despite the insidious opiates of the common propaganda media. It is really more dangerous to just keep under the usual system acting as if things are within normal and that correction will come automatically at some point. Secession - a more responsive measure - will point out the lack of true adherence to the Constitution to the masses and the importance of following it in order to preserve our true rights and protect against homeland tyranny.

Nonetheless, should sufficient enacted electoral reforms and comprehensive term limits eventually demonstrate that the people are hopelessly disparate & irreconcilable to a threshold in their political bonds, then secession would be the ultimate solution. Therefore, we should as well for future generations enter explicitly into our Constitution an orderly process for secession.

'Congress' passage of the Reconstruction Acts of 1867 marked the beginning of the Radical Reconstruction period, which would last for the next decade. That legislation divided the South into five military districts and outlined how new state governments based on universal (male) suffrage - for both whites and blacks - were to be organized.'

http://www.history.com/topics/carpetbaggers-and-scalawags

'Reconstruction was a remarkable chapter in the story of American freedom, but most historians consider it a failure because the region became a poverty-stricken backwater and whites re-established their supremacy, making the Freedmen second-class citizens by the start of the 20th century. Historian Eric Foner argues, "What remains certain is that Reconstruction failed, and that for blacks its failure was a disaster whose magnitude cannot be obscured by the genuine accomplishments that did endure."

'They nullified the recent Southern elections and refused to allow Southern congressmen to take their seats in Congress, even though these men had been elected in elections that were just as valid as any election that had been held in the North.'

'Northern business interests took full advantage of the South's subjugation during Reconstruction. African-American scholars Franklin and Moss note that "Northern financiers and industrialists took advantage of the opportunity to impose their economic control on the South, and much of it endured for generations"

'Radicals, subverted the rule of law, permitted Republican operatives to engage in astonishing corruption, looted the South for years, poisoned race relations, illegally and unethically amended the Constitution, further destroyed the balance of power between the states and the federal government' ~ Michael T. The federally implemented Reconstruction, 13th - 15th Amendments and later the southern states' Redemptions, Plessy vs. Ferguson and other examples on both sides all illustrate the clever chess or poker tactics concerning federal vs. state powers after the Secession War.

'Sharecroppers were agricultural wage laborers who raised crops on farm plots owned by large landowners in the post - Civil War era.... The sharecropping system was financially oppressive and most sharecroppers were unable to break out of a cycle of poverty and debt.'

'Jim Crow was the name of the racial caste system which operated primarily, but not exclusively in southern and border states, between 1877 and the mid-1960s. Jim Crow was more than a series of rigid anti-black laws. It was a way of life. Under Jim Crow, African Americans were relegated to the status of second class citizens.' ~ Dr. David Pilgrim, Professor of Sociology | Ferris State University | Edited 2012

Here is a site for advancing the notion of equal rights in general and on various issues: the disabled, immigrants, race, gender, LGBT. Access and conformity to government programs and acts mandating equality is championed. The question is where something championed as a "right" is really an (overboard) entitlement and what are the unintended consequences of the initiatives glossed with compassion:

'By refusing to rent to individuals who intend to use Housing Choice Vouchers, as well as to individuals who do not have income as "working" or "Professionals," Theophilus is, the ERC's complaint alleges, unlawfully discriminating against renters in the District of Columbia based on their source of income.' ~ For Immediate Release | Ashley White(?), Equal Rights Center

Tea Party purge by GOP:

'Yes, the punishment was swift and it cut deep into the heart of Tea Party conservative congressional members. Michigan's own, Tea Party favorite Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.), was dispossessed of his Budget committee seat. The purge continued with Arizona Rep. David Schweikert, being relieved of his seat on the powerful on Financial Services Committee. There were many others.' ~ December 5, 2012 | By: Kevin Fobbs

'A PDF file at OWS Exposed counts over 4,000 arrests, with over 500 thefts, multiple rapes, several incidents of public masturbation, along with public defecation and urination. There have even been incidents of indecent exposure to children and at least two incidents of arson.'

'....the movement has been endorsed by Communists, Nazis and Islamists worldwide. Worse yet, they see an entire political party warmly embracing the lawlessness of the movement....' ~ December 6, 2011 | By: Joe Newby

'Our goal is to educate the public on the real facts behind the OWS movement by reporting stories most people won't likely see or hear from the mainstream media. It is our hope that this information will help people form a more honest perspective on the 'occupiers,' many who are seeking to destroy the American way of life.'

'In 1960, when the Kennedys had entered the White House. America was still in a post-war boom. It had advanced tremendously since the ending of World War II.......Most of America was in what you might call a blissful innocence, and had not yet been rudely awakened to the tumultuousness that would be the sixties.'

One of the many secession petitions which are usually by state:

'By signing this petition and leaving your comments, you will be voicing your support for the South's right--then and now--to secede from the current regime and to form its own government or governments as free men and women. '

http://www.petitiononline.com/union/petition.html

'The petitions were filed and signed by those who are apprehensive regarding President Obama's re-election and feel their state would be better off separated from the Union and operating as its own government.' ~ November 14, 2012 | Charisse Van Horn

Biden admits gun confiscation law will not really stop further Sandy Hook scenarios.

http://youtu.be/TTyoppK_aDM

Dianne Feinstein's contradiction shows that her true intentions really are of a more general gun confiscation.

http://youtu.be/mQJHzmB1JuE

From an NRA site that illustrates the gun ban positions of Obama:

'In 1996, State Senator Obama answered a questionaire and stated that he supported a complete ban on assault weapons, supported mandatory waiting periods, supported background checks, and supported a complete ban on manufature and sale of handguns. Claims by Senator Obama that a staffer filed out the form were debunked by media outlets. Those same objectives were supported by State Senator Obama in a 1998 political awareness test.' ~ PoliGu article quote is via first right arrow click from the most recent article appearing under the timeline when NRA site loads.

Extreme parallel gun bans at the state level:

'The worst of these bills have the effect of banning all rifle-barreled shotguns, numerous rifles and handguns, most rifle ammunition, and magazines that hold over 10 rounds. Ammunition sales would be severely restricted, logged and reported to the State Police, and internet and catalog sales would be banned.' ~ Sunday, February 10, 2013

http://www.ammoland.com/2013/02/nj-shotgun-ban-ammo-ban-magazine-grabs-gun-owners-mobilize-now/#ixzz2Kej2r2rY

Illogic of the extreme gun ban has changed the focus of the latest gun violence discussion and made the ban difficult to pass:

'Weapons like the Bushmaster mimic the appearance and some features of fully automatic military rifles, though they technically do not meet the definition of an assault weapon because they are semi-automatic -- meaning each shot requires a trigger pull.' ~ By Tom Cohen, CNN updated 11:02 AM EST, Sat February 9, 2013

http://www.cnn.com/2013/02/08/politics/weapons-ban

Registration seen as a prelude to government confiscation:

'Mr. LaPierre, the NRA's CEO and executive vice president, said in an interview on "Fox News Sunday" that background checks would be the first step toward a national gun registry - a prospect long feared and vigorously opposed by supporters of the Second Amendment.' ~ David Eldridge | Sunday, February 3, 2013
